but unfortunately french was too far away from my country. http://sourceforge.net was better, http://mirror.internode.on.net even faster than both. :D

Running : ZEN-mini x32 2012.1 on a usb stick and I can`t get any media to auto mount. Installed VLC. Logged out and in. In Nautilus under Edit/Preferences/Media it shows no applications found in all categories.. Any suggestions as to how to get a dvd to autoplay.
Solved it by installing task-gnome.

Don't have a usb to test from.
Is your CD/DVD drive even being detected?

If so check these settings
$ gconf-editor/apps/nautilus/preferences/media_automount_open []
$ gconf-editor/apps/nautilus/desktop/volumes_visible []

VLC needs a little help
Install -- phonon-vlc task-multimedia vobcopy

Thanks for the reply. I`ve got it all sorted out. Initially my dvd drive was being detected as I installed VLC it played beautifully. The problem was in the auto detection and auto playing of the dvd drive. As I said in my earlier post I could not edit the media preferences in Nautilus to detect and play a cd or a dvd. But once I installed task-gnome everything was fine. Probably overkill to install so much but I have a dual core machine so it runs great. I think I am going to install it on this computer as the previous version of Zen has some problems playing you tube videos in full screen. And your version seems to run even faster than 2011. It`s sweet. Thanks again.
