No effects can be seen

Postby leekaiwei » Sat Mar 05, 2011 8:17 am

At the moment, I can't work out how to enable any effects. In previous distributions that I've had such as Ubuntu, I can enable 3D Desktop Effects through Appearance but I don't see any option to do that. I have Compiz-Fusion installed but none of the effects happen even though I've ticked them.

Look in 'Configuring Your Computer > Hardware'.
Cheers. Ray

The latest releases are missing Drak3D being installed, so add it from Synaptic, then open the control center and Configure 3D Desktop Effects to enable it. It will ask you to log out and back in, and voila! :)
Remember this, the only stupid question is the one you don't ask.

"The thing about changing the world... is that once you do it, the world's all different."

Let's share our knowledge. Otherwise, what's the point?
