Utorrent Error: access is denied

Postby dagovasek » Thu Sep 17, 2009 8:06 pm

When downloading a file with Utorrent under Wine, I get the message: "Error: access is denied." I changed the permissions to the download folder to no avail, I have the same problem when I'm logged in as "Root."

I had the same problem with the KDE version of PCLinuxOS but I can't remember how I fixed it. I already tried Transmission, Ktorrent, and Azureus and they worked fine. I just prefer using Utorrent.

solved it by changing the permissions on the "home" folder.

Just download/open the torrent again, and when the torrent app opens the window asking where to save it, point it at the folder where your last downlaod was going, it will see it and do a check, see what has been completed, what is still missing, and pick up where it left off. :)
Remember this, the only stupid question is the one you don't ask.

"The thing about changing the world... is that once you do it, the world's all different."

Let's share our knowledge. Otherwise, what's the point?

How do you enable utorrent connection through nod32 firewall? My Nod32 firewall seems to be blocking uTorrent internet access. What settings do I need to change?
