I can't seem to make sense of this. I'd added/installed way too much cr*p, and rather than trim it back manually it was simpler to re-install over the top, formatting /, but not /home, keeping everything intact. Everything works fine, except for one little detail. Totem keeps crashing when I try to open any files with it.
I'm using Gnome-mplayer in the meantime as default video player, but Totem is more convenient in some case, so I'd appreciate some help getting this to work. Besides, it was working fine before, makes no sense that it doesn't now.
Ran Totem from Terminal, it opened. Then attempted to play an Anime file on the drive (as an example), and the following is what feedback i got:
[david@Kenpachi ~]$ totem
** (totem:15699): WARNING **: chapters: failed to load CMML file file:///media/Hitachi-1TB/TV_Shows/Elfen%20Lied%20DVD-Rip%20Complete/Elfen%20Lied%20-%2002%20-%20Cleaning%20Up%20%5BECF34FFC%5D.cmml: Error opening file: No such file or directory

libva: va_getDriverName() returns 0
libva: Trying to open /usr/lib/va/drivers/nvidia_drv_video.so
libva: va_openDriver() returns -1
Segmentation fault
Tried this with several other files, all same result. I don't understand what the problem is. It seems to be suggesting something related to the Nvidia driver or something, I'm not too clear, but I have no idea why, or what to do. Any ideas? This is dealable, but very frustrating. Help?
edit: Sorted now, completely re-installed fresh.
