Thunderbird 5 links dead

Postby gb5uqx » Sun Jul 10, 2011 11:49 am

I have seen someone posted this on the main forum for KDE but I notice my Gnome install is affected the same way since the last Thunderbird update.

Web Links in TB no longer open Firefox. In fact they dont work at all even right click 'open in browser' doesn't work. FF is the default browser as it should be. Aside from the update nothing should have changed.

Works OK here on both my Asus boxes using either method!
Also 'mail to' link in FF5 operates correctly now as it didn't work with the previous FF/TB combination!

According to a post on the main site for PClinuxOS http://www.pclinuxos.com/?p=1282

Dated June 27th PCLinuxOS KDE 2011.6 post installation tips.

2. Thunderbird open Link in Firefox
Launch Firefox
Click on Preferences -> Advanced -> General -> Set Firefox as default browser.

That was the first thing I checked. FF is still default and all the TB configuration files point to FF.
