Greetings! I'm posting from your remaster of zen mini. The only problem I had was that wvdial needs pppd which was removed. Mobile broadband needs a dialer and wvdial needs pppd. I removed it from another version of PcLinux to make this post.
Otherwise no problems.

Hi YeOldeFart! In the main menu>More Applications>Configuration, you should have Gnome PPP, unless for some reason I forgot to leave that menu entry enabled, did it not work for you? Let me know and if needed i'll add it to the bug-fix list.

Still no clue why your new remaster can't run sakis3g, I can't connect my huawei modem without sakis3g. I have no problem with zen 11.11
