Remembrance Day

Postby stephen46710 » Sun Nov 08, 2009 1:06 am

Today; on the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month we celebrate in remembrance for our fallen, to those who gave their lives and to those who serve today; I say a simple thankyou.

Least we forget.

Yes, Lest We Forget.

(Would have posted sooner, but spent yesterday off-line)
Remember this, the only stupid question is the one you don't ask.

"The thing about changing the world... is that once you do it, the world's all different."

Let's share our knowledge. Otherwise, what's the point?

We WILL remember them! This was a special Remembrance Day for me as my daughter arrived safely home to Canada from Afghanistan after nearly 9 months over there. She hit North American soil last weekend and now starts the reorientation process......from warm Kandahar Air Field to cool Ontario.....brrrrrr

I guess the Afghanistan tours and losses have really brought war home to new generations of Canadians as there were record turnouts at most ceremonies across the country and in Ottawa, it was the largest ever turnout! Mind you, it helped that Prince Charles & Camilla were present there...... :)
