This is bad news folks...

We are sad to announce that due to some unfortunate and unexpected turn of events we are no longer able to maintain this website. The site will be shut down soon unless a new owner is found.
We are looking for someone who is willing to take over the site. That means paying for the hosting and also doing some maintenance every once in a while.

If anyone is willing to take over the site/forum please contact either slick50 or don_crissti - PM or email via forum.

I hope something can be worked out so that at least the Gnome specific content can be saved and made available elsewhere, if not someone to help maintain the present arrangement.

The entire forum content will be saved. It could be made available elsewhere as it's just a MySQL database (tables, records and stuff). As far as I know pretty much any kind of conversion/merging is possible (at least in theory): phpBB to smf, vbulletin, ipb, bbpress whatever...

....I am so sorry. his place has a lot of important info for pclos gnome. I get lost in the main PCLOS forum.

There are a lot of good peoples here, I hope something can be worked out...I'm just scrapping by, like others here also.

I just use this laptop at wifi hotspots- but have installed GNOME on various clients and friends machines...

It has a good layout that is easy to find things...{most of the time...} recognizes most usb stuff....printers are easy...etc...

I'm going to miss Hartz discussing women , and such...

I'm going to miss Sarcastic Bastard being sarcastic...

I will miss Melodie and her creations...

I will miss Don's help....

I will HOPE and pray for the best outcome...

I did send a mail to my friend who make internet radio, if he have space for us.. he can speak English, but I don't know if his programming skills will be enough.
Don, can you at least PM us what is the "turn of events".. How much time have we, till it will be shut down?

I have created extra new e-mail account, and there is new future against spam: this askew numbers and letters.. damn is it difficult to read..
So is anyone from old forum members here?.. is the forum still in costruction?..waiting to any reaction..

I managed to get here via a link from a cached Google page so I assume everything is still under "construction".

The anti-spam feature is known as a "Captcha". I also had trouble reading this Captcha when I registered a few weeks ago. I'm not sure if this feature works very well because I've seen lots of spam on the forum in my short time as a member.

I did give just http://linuxgator.org and get redirected to the forum.. well, at least I think that is the process.. I did not find any information on the main forum.. so for me it's the only way to find out what's going on here. I can't remember the "capcha" in the past.. can it be they have some now, that is more advanced or something.. spam posts really random, but some "new business men" do really come here and register only to advertise.. most of them probably from east Europe, because if you live in west you know how much do we have "ads" on the media.. 23000 in one year (say some statistics).. do they really think we will react on this? Switch to another TV channel, or taking the post from one box to the other "trash", installing "Ad block" on the browser and so one.. that's my automatics..
Anyway here is the error I have if I try post from my HarzVieh user:

General Error

And under the new name, the page turns blue when I am "logged in" and turns gray again if I am "logged out"
