Whenever I go to Update Notifier, I get the error message: Update Notifier: "Error Connecting--Cannot Download Package' please check Synaptic'

when I checked the settings, they seem fine.

Anyone else get that?

Default repository is overloaded probably, change to another one in Settings/Repositories in Synaptic, then click "Reload".. In System/Administration/Repository Speed Test you can check what is the best for your location. Let only one repository be chosen in Synaptic, otherwise you become problems..
