i'm just noting that i updated my compiz fusion and Emerald through synaptic then search xorg and install the ati drivers. restarted x server then enabled 3d effects with now only xgl as an option and choosing compiz fusion. logged out then in, works fine now even tho i cant use the icon settings for some reason.

it changed my font sizes to 10, i changed them back to 8. effects works.


i only wonder if the 3d effects would have worked if i only updated
the ati drivers.
