As a Regular support provider for PCLinuxOS-support, we are not really prepared for the recent onslaught of support needs for Gnome. As most of us are KDE users, and it is stated that we and Gnome are separate project, I suggest that you start a pclinuxgnome-support channel on freenode. We don't mean to sound harsh, but most of us aren't prepared to help wiith these questions, and I feel it detracts from our purpose.
We appreciate the great job you've done, and it is a fine distro. Seems big enough now for you to continue your support into IRC.

People still use IRC? :p

I doubt many new people looking for assistance would even think of IRC, most would look for the Forum. Perhaps adding a "highlighted" bookmark to the Forum in the Remaster would be an idea, if it has not already been introduced in the new version.

I know I can count the number of times I have ventured into IRC on just over 1 hand, usually out of curiousity. Others might be different, but I really don't see how IRC will assist if people don't even know to use it. Just my 2c worth.

Just a note, but we get gnome users all day long... I believe your xchat or whatever client you use automatically points to pclos and pclos-support. Thanks

We would be glad to setup IRC if someone would volunteer the help to get it up and running, also maintain it.
We are limited to a few here (about three) Maintaining the site and building pkgs, answering questions and so forth.
Xchat program is the same in the repo as we are sharing it.

So, we can't do much but link to us if someone would help out.
