Help needed with LO keyboard-shortcuts

Postby satuser083 » Fri Apr 20, 2012 6:49 am

I'm using libre-office v3.4.5 with gnome-mmxii and am trying to redefine some keyboard-shortcuts. These are Ctrl++ (to zoom in) and Ctrl+- (to zoom out). To do this I selected Tools -> Customise -> Keyboard tab, selected the Ctrl++ entry, then (in the Categories box) View and (in the Function box) Zoom In. Similar for Ctrl+-. Selected OK and tried the commands. No response. Seemed quite a simple process, but I'm clearly doing something wrong :? . Can anyone help me out?

Thanks.

You may be running into conflicts with built-in Gnome hot keys.
See here ...
Note: Some of the shortcut keys may be assigned to your desktop system. Keys that are assigned to the desktop system are not available to LibreOffice. Try to assign different keys either for LibreOffice, in Tools - Customize - Keyboard, or in your desktop system.

Most Gnome apps let you re-assign any key(almost). Those key assignments work only when the mouse is inside that window.. Libreoffice seems to play it differently.
