Slick / don_cristi,
Is there work going on to get a permanent fix to the issues with upgrading / remasterme / livecd and also the boot options where you have to put in all-generic-ide.
Personally I (and I suppose several others) cannot successfully remaster my system even when I install the fixes which have been proposed. That's a shame because being able to do a remaster is a great unique selling point for this distro. I also think the all-generic-ide fix in boot options is not a good introduction to linux for newbies. I'm OK with it - but I know that if I had tried linux for the first time and had to do that I would probably ditch it immediately.
Can something be built into these new isos (Gnome 2.22 and also the minime) to fix & test these problems with what is an otherwise perfect distro?
The fact that you have defined the workarounds suggests that you know what the problems are - can they be repaired permanently?
