It even looks very like the windows powertool resizer program that Im used to.

I tried to build that but cannot due to some packages not being available for us (it needs more recent versions)... If you wait until the new Gnome will come along then we'll try building that stuff too.

UPDATE:
We have the nautilus-image-converter built and working only that is for the next nautilus version (the one shipping with gnome 2.22.1 which uses extensions 2.0 instead extensions 1.0 as you have now).... So if you guys are patient once the new Gnome will be ready you'll have this stuff installed by default.

Thanks Don.
I tried too and then realized that those packages were not available in synaptic so I gave up!
But I did learn alot about how to install from source ,so I suppose It wasnt a waste of time.
